Hybrid Working Model: We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement. This role is available from our Manchester office and typically the team go in two days per week.
Exciting growth opportunities within a dynamic and supportive team, where you will work proactively within the Divisional Finance Team to support and further develop the working relationships between the Finance function and the business. Your role will be critical to the continuous improvement of the firm's financial performance.
Responsibilities
As a Divisional Finance Manager, you will:
- Obtain a detailed understanding of performance drivers within the business.
- Support the Divisional Finance Business Partners in analysing those performance drivers to drive the early identification of risks, opportunities and other operational insights and efficiencies.
- Contribute to and help to improve the presentation/impact of regular financial MI through data visualization tools, to enhance understanding of business performance.
- Collaborate with other parts of the Finance team to review and assess financial reports, and to gain a deep understanding of how divisional results are derived.
- Act as a key reviewer of the P&L and liaise with the Financial Control and Management Accounts teams to ensure divisional results are accurate on a monthly basis.
- Support the Divisional Finance Business Partners with the annual budget process as well as monthly and full-year forecasting through analysis of historical financial data and future pipeline information.
- Contribute to forward-looking, large scale and/or high-impact commercial and investment decisions through the support provided in respect of financial analysis - and to assess the performance of those decisions once actioned.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- A graduate qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience in data investigation and analysis, being able to extract and scrutinise large volumes of multi-faceted information from multiple sources to deliver business insight in a commercial environment.
- High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on presentation and quality of work.
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills to be able to present and help the Finance Business Partner and Divisional community understand, the results of data analyses.
- A high level of commercial acumen, so as to identify relevant and interesting trends, anomalies and other pertinent narratives within financial results.
- Demonstrable experience in building strong and robust relationships and working effectively within a team.
Desirable
- Experience working with/in a large, international company and delivering results to a timetable.
- Experience in MS Power Query and PowerBI
