Description
We are looking for experienced GPs to work within our clinical duty services

  • The post holder requires strong clinical ownership and experience to make decisions and provide advice to other clinicians, support services etc
  • The post holder must have good autonomy, operational and governance experience in order to succeed in the post.
  • The role specifically requires evening and weekend shifts as part of the business needs of the service.

We are currently recruiting into Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays 9am to 6pm (1 hour break)

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:

  • Responsibility for delivery of the duty clinical services..
  • Providing clinical support and advice for the non GP workforce working on duty.
  • Responsible for ensuring that daily KPIs are met and that all SLAs are achieved
  • Supporting Governance matters related to the duty service
  • Implementing calibration set by the Lead GP for the duty service
  • Responding to on the day safeguarding escalations
  • Supporting the out of hours rota on weekdays and weekends with additional remuneration.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • GMC registered General Practitioner with a licence to practice
  • On a UK Medical Performers List
  • Full compliance with NHS statutory training requirements
  • GMC registered General Practitioner with a licence to practice

  • At least 2 years experience post CCT
  • Prior experiencing working efficiently as a Duty/on call GP in an NHS surgery/OOH service or similar.
  • Prior experience in supporting and working within clinic teams
  • Prior experience is supervising clinicians
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Excellent Clinical Skills
  • Excellent IT proficiency
  • Excellent Strategic and analytical skills
  • Team player who is willing to be flexible to the needs of the team and organisation
