Achieving for Children is seeking an Early Years Funding Manager to join our team, overseeing the statutory duties and functions related to early years entitlement and the administration of childcare-related grants and payments for Kingston and Richmond Councils.

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for managing a multi-million pound budget and implementing government early years funding policies. You'll develop and maintain robust claims and payment systems, oversee audit and contract management processes, and ensure the effective utilization of public funds. A key aspect of this position involves providing essential information and training to stakeholders, including early years providers and parents.

You will be passionate about supporting children and young people, demonstrating strong analytical and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail. We're looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to foster productive partnerships with various stakeholders. You should be determined and ambitious, capable of achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellent outcomes. Strong organizational and creative-thinking skills are necessary, alongside a commitment to resource optimization and cross-team collaboration.

What you'll bring:

• Educated to degree level (Level 6) or possess relevant senior-level experience.
• Senior-level experience in the early years or education sector, or a related decision-making role.
• Strong financial background and extensive experience managing large budgets.
• Extensive experience in data analysis and reporting.
• A comprehensive knowledge of early years funding regulations.
• Proven ability to manage a small team.
