Are you ready to take your next big step towards a fantastic career in tech? We are a global organisation which delivers technology transformation that changes the world and improves lives. Our highly regarded Higher Level Apprentice scheme gives the opportunity to work four days per week in one of our technology teams, while studying for a part time degree qualification one day per week in Computing Systems with Ulster University (Belfast campus), completing your degree in approximately four years.

What will I receive as an Apprentice?

When you join our Computing Apprenticeship programme you will first attend our comprehensive Earn as You Learn Engineering Academy, designed to provide you with the essential technical and professional skills required to set you up for success in your first project.
Upon completion of the Academy, you will join one of our technical teams where you will get exposure to real-life customer projects, allowing you to build on these technical and professional skills. You will be fully supported by experienced colleagues in the team as well as an experienced mentor, who will provide training and mentoring throughout your studies.
At Kainos, we operate in a fast moving, dynamic environment, which can mean exciting and varied opportunities for our people to work across different teams, projects and disciplines. You must have a keen interest in developing a career in Computing and the expectation is for our employees to be adaptable, curious, and open to working in different teams across Kainos. We base such moves on customer demand and an understanding of your skillset and interest.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
- Have already obtained GCSE Maths and English Language (A to C), or equivalent
- Have already obtained, or be predicted to obtain a BTEC Extended Diploma OR 3 Cs in A Levels or equivalent, at least one of which needs to be a STEM subject, to include: Science, Engineering, Technology or Maths
- A genuine enthusiasm for everything technology, evidenced both within and outside of your studies
- Teamwork skills – everyone in Kainos works in collaborative teams, so working collaboratively as a team is crucial
- Our developers are creative – you’ll need to be able to show us your skills for coming up with new ideas and ways of doing things, how you’ve solved problems and looked at things differently
