About The Role

The eCommerce Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that optimise online product profitability and competitiveness. This role involves analysing data trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior to set, adjust, and monitor pricing across eCommerce platforms and marketplaces. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of both data analytics and online retail dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models and tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and promotional activity to inform pricing strategies.
  • Conduct margin and profitability analyses across product categories.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, central pricing, and supply chain to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
  • Track and report on pricing performance and the impact on sales and profitability.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments based on real-time data, seasonal changes, and business goals.
  • Maintain pricing accuracy across all eCommerce platforms and ensure alignment with promotions and campaigns.
  • Use tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to visualise and communicate findings.

Qualifications

About You

Education & Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or eCommerce analytics preferred.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL and BI platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Amazon, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dynamic pricing models or retail math.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing metrics (e.g., CPC, ROAS) and their impact on pricing strategy.
  • Familiarity with pricing tools (e.g., PriceShape).
