CrossCountry have an exciting, fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced and innovative EDI Manager to join us at this exciting time!
This role is key in helping shape and embed our EDI strategy. The successful candidate will review the business’s current practices and work alongside stakeholders to continue developing an inclusive workplace culture.
The EDI Manager will require a level of influence and project management to successfully launch key workstreams and to bring about positive change!
Responsibilities Of The Role
- Audit CrossCountry’s current policies, procedures and practises to identify areas of improvement from an EDI perspective.
- Be the ambassador and “go-to” expert of EDI, influencing all levels of the workforce to prioritise inclusive practises within their day-to-day work.
- Lead strategic EDI workstreams by inputting into key organisational processes, such as induction, talent acquisition (including Early Careers), talent development and talent management through an EDI lens.
- Work alongside the Recruitment team to review the existing recruitment process; providing support in the development of specific initiatives to promote inclusive hiring practices and develop proactive third-party partnerships to ensure diversified candidate pools.
- Facilitate organisation wide involvement in, and access to, the EDI and Wellbeing calendar – identifying key dates of education & celebration, collaborating with external partners on local campaigns.
- Develop and grow a CrossCountry EDI Forum, involving colleagues from across the organisation to support improvement in inclusive culture.
- Work with the recognised Trade Unions through the Joint National Committee’s (JNC) to embed inclusive employment practises.
- Lead the creation, coordination of and participate in relevant internal and external working groups, providing EDI advice, expertise and support where necessary.
- Collaborating with teams across the organisation to ensure EDI is embedded in all areas of the employee experience.
- Deploy a data driven, measurable and targeted approach to EDI, analysing data to monitor progress and share insights with the wider senior team to ultimately support positive change.
- Working with the HRBPs and Senior managers across the business to ensure awareness and contribution to the delivery of EDI goals and plans in the regions.
- Develop an EDI communication strategy & roadmap in partnership with the group business (Arriva) to deploy and embed EDI initiatives locally.
- Provide training and education on key topics within the EDI space, facilitating open discussions and hosting interactive workshops/ Q&A sessions.
Essential
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
- Experience in the design, delivery and project management of EDI strategies.
- Expertise in influencing key stakeholders to create positive change
- Experience in data analysis including using data and data analytics to develop and implement solutions.
- Ability to draw on the experience, knowledge, and skills of others to diagnose, design and implement solutions to EDI challenges across the organisation
- Excellent and confident communicator, with experience of event management and facilitation.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team with pace.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a challenging employee relations environment – with either trade unions or other employee stakeholder groups
- CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience
