Edvoy are looking for an Education Consultant to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will work closely with the China team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking lead responsibility for all activities related to Education Consultant work.


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • lTake a lead on designing and implementing quality assessment procedures for students and evaluate assessments with a view to matching students to appropriate universities, schools and courses of study;
  • Liaise with prospective Chinese students in respect of appropriate courses of study in one of Edvoy’s partner universities;
  • Assess academic background of candidates for the purpose of designing a personalised study route;
  • Provide appropriate guidance and instruction to prospective candidates to help them with career development;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities, schools and educational professionals;
  • Liaise with institutions in respect of prospective candidates for appropriate mode of study;
  • Answer student queries and convert enquiries into sales;
  • Advise candidates on application procedures, review application forms and documents for various academic and professional courses and to oversee application process to ensure timely submission;
  • Build a good working relationship with other members of the team.
  • Other responsibilities
  • Maintain good record keeping at all times and enter all updates on the students CRMs system.
  • Give talks/presentations to Chinese students in on behalf of the company
  • Providing potential Chinese students with accurate and clear information as well as answering all enquiries from customers
  • Play an active role and offer support and professional expertise as appropriate.
  • Have a willingness to work flexibly and to adjust working hours to suit the needs of the company.


Person specifications, qualifications and skills

  • Good bachelor’s degree level
  • Self-motivated and results-orientated team player that can exceed goals and revenue expectations, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent phone manner, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritises work, handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Cultural awareness and interpersonal skills
  • Must be fluent in Mandarin (speaking, writing, conversational) and be able to translate from English to Mandarin and vice versa
  • Ability to communicate effectively with international students and a wide variety of external organisations
  • Flexibility to travel is required with this role


The working hours of this role are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from our Manchester office. Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines. Edvoy strives to be an Equal Opportunities employer.

All employees will be required to undertake, as deemed appropriate from time to time, mandatory training with regards to safeguarding and general health and safety, and welfare of students, children and young people under the age of 18, vulnerable adults and individuals with special educational needs and disabilities.
