Are you an experienced and dedicated Educational Psychologist looking for a new challenge? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Educational Psychologist to join our Education Psychology Service and make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in our community.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological services to schools and other educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and providing interventions to support the educational, emotional, and social development of children and young people.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote inclusive practices and positive outcomes for learners.
- Offering consultation and advice on a range of issues, such as behaviour management and special educational needs.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve educational provision.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
- Qualified and registered as an Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Extensive experience in delivering psychological services within an educational context.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to apply a range of psychological theories and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
