We have fantastic opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated Educational Psychologists to join our creative and friendly service at an exciting time in Sheffield. We are expanding rapidly, increasing the number of EPs in the Service as we continue to expand our partially traded model. We have also recruited a substantial team of Assistant Educational Psychologists, to work in partnership with EPs through collaborative working.

We are keen to further develop our consultation model of service delivery and our approach to co-producing assessments through joint working with families, schools and other key professionals.

We are a values-driven EP Service with all members of the team participating in a collaborative and innovative leadership model to drive us forward. Keeping children at the heart of everything we do, we are solution-focused, person-centred, inclusive, reflective and committed to ethical practice.

We are committed to increasing diversity in the profession and to developing anti-racist practices.

Sheffield City itself is not only a vibrant re-modelled city centre with great access to fantastic countryside, it is also an exciting place to work. The Educational Psychology Service is highly valued and supported by the Local Authority, schools and families within the city.

This will be the right job for you if you:

  • are committed to developing strong mainstream inclusive practice and local solutions to meeting diverse needs
  • are committed to promoting positive practice and challenging existing ways of working
  • want to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people and are keen to develop innovative practice
  • can demonstrate enthusiasm and good humour

Applications are invited from qualified Educational Psychologists as well as those currently in years 2 and 3 of training. The post is available as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will need to hold the appropriate specialist qualification to work as an Educational Psychologist and be registered with HCPC.

If you would like to know more about this post or would be interested in visiting us and meeting colleagues in the Service, please ring or email to arrange. You will receive a warm welcome.
