Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School
Our Lady of Lourdes in Huddersfield is a Catholic Primary Academy and part of the Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (BPSCAT) established by the Diocese of Leeds for Catholic Education in Kirklees and Calderdale.
We are looking to appoint an Educational Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor to join our team of hardworking, friendly and supportive staff.
The successful candidate will be required to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, such as covering staff training, illness and other operational needs of the school. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task. Staff will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.
We are seeking applicants who are highly motivated with a commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. It is important that you are adaptive, have the ability to work as part of a team and have the interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with the children, staff and parents.
The successful candidate will also actively support the Mission Statement and the Ethos of our Catholic Primary School.
In Turn We Can Offer
- A strong ethos and a sense of mission
- Committed, happy, friendly and supportive staff
- Enthusiastic children who love learning and school life
- An attractive Pension scheme
- Access to Employee Healthcare services, including counselling, health & wellbeing support and physiotherapy
Our School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
We strongly recommend that you visit our school before applying by contacting Tanya Pitman (Office Manager) T: 01484 310700 to arrange a suitable time.
