Birkby Junior School is an ambitious, inclusive, multi-cultural five-form entry school. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Educational Teaching Assistant/Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team from September 2025.
You must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in school. Particular emphasis will be on working with individual pupils and small groups. Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment and knowledge of the national curriculum are essential for this job. As part of your wider duties and responsibilities you are required to promote and actively support the Councils responsibilities towards safeguarding. Safeguarding is about keeping people safe and protecting them from harm, neglect, abuse and injury. It is about creating safe places, being vigilant and doing something about any
concerns you might have.
