Electrical Engineer – Industrial Water & Process Systems
Responsibilities
- Installation Design: Develop and oversee low-voltage electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Cabling Design: Design and specify electrical cabling layouts, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety in industrial environments.
- Specification & Procurement: Select and specify electrical components, ensuring suitability for project requirements.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage installation suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring smooth procurement, delivery, and testing.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure that electrical installations meet UK regulations and industry best practices.
- Commissioning & Testing: Oversee on-site commissioning, including electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including project managers, automation specialists, and R&D teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Experience: Solid experience in electrical installation design, cabling design, and equipment specification, ideally within an industrial environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, control panels (MCCs), and industrial power distribution.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Trimble/Amtech, E-Plan, AutoCAD/Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams, ensuring successful project completion.
- Problem-Solving: Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning electrical systems
