Job Description
Join us as an Electrical Maintenance Manager and support our operational plans to increase efficiency, drive improvements and optimise the performance of Heathrow's electrical distribution network.
As an Electrical Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable for the coordination and optimisation of the electrical distribution network maintenance and reactive work activities at Heathrow.
Your role will involve
- Managing the successful delivery of the electrical maintenance plan through organising monthly works to maximise efficiencies within the operation, whilst minimising disruption to the airport.
- Supporting the Operation Manager and influencing Heathrow Control Engineers and HAL suppliers to optimise performance of our distribution network.
- Leading the coordination of internal maintenance activities to ensure that maintenance and other contracted activities for the electrical distribution network assets and other related assets are delivered in line with statutory requirements, current regulations, engineering standards and partnership agreements.
- Overseeing Safe Systems of Work and permit management activities for assets, ensuring continuous on-going reviews of the process to drive improvement.
- Developing and nurturing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and providing engineering support to stakeholders around the electrical distribution network assets.
These Skills Are Essential
- Full UK driving license and ability to obtain an airside driving license.
- Practical experience in electrical engineering and management of electrical distribution systems and switching.
- Experienced in communicating with all levels of an organisation, dealing professionally with colleagues, customers, business partners and third parties to build trust and confidence.
- Competent in the planning and delivery of engineering asset management strategies.
- Analytical in approach to problem solving and overcoming operational concerns and impacts.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
