We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. The Apprentice will be working on various electrical focused maintenance tasks and equipment preparation as well as having the opportunity to get involved with complex development and rebuild projects under the supervision of a senior electrician or supervisor.
The Apprentice's responsibilities include learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops on and offsite, observing all health and safety codes, completing tests and assignments aligned to their work. You should be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible.
To be successful as an Apprentice, you must have great time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure. Outstanding Apprentices are those who build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression.
Please note: This position is due to start in line with the college year in September 2025.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working on various electrical focused maintenance and equipment preparation tasks under close supervision.
- Attending workshops at college and participating in as many learning opportunities as possible in the workplace.
- Assisting within the workshop and yard, but also learning about other aspects of the company.
- Observing and following all health and safety procedures.
- Completing all tests, presentations, and other required evaluations.
- Working in the office/workshop and traveling to other sites when required.
- Attending meetings/observing actions and offering suggestions for improvement.
- Building professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Undertake other duties compatible with your role and learning as required.
What You’ll Need
Qualifications (Essential)
- GCSE's at Grade 5 (C) or above in Mathematics and English
- Full right to work in the UK
Qualifications (Desirable)
Skills (Essential)
- Good written and verbal English
- Good time management and interpersonal skills, being able to speak to staff at all levels
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to follow concise instructions
