Electrification CRE to join our innovative
Rail team at the
Three Bridges Depot in
Crawley. In this exciting role, you'll take charge of key projects across the Southern, Western, and Eastern regions, including critical signalling works. What you'll be doing
- Ensure all discipline designs and constructions comply with applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements, and specifications.
- Oversee the interface between design, construction, and testing activities, whether for single or multiple disciplines.
- Define, manage, and measure all site engineering activities, including Technical Assurance processes, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and supporting documentation.
- Control and maintain the accuracy of As-Built Red Line Drawings.
- Inspect sites periodically, conduct audits, and perform peer reviews of high-risk work plans and technical documents to uphold safety and operational standards.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Design Check (IDC) meetings with other discipline CREs to confirm the compatibility of designs and construction interfaces, ensuring safe construction.
- Verify that all designs undergo rigorous checking, mentorship, approval, and endorsement to ensure compliance.
- Restrict work commencement until all Approved for Construction (AFC) designs, work package plans, and TBSs are in place.
- Approve all Task Briefing Sheets (TBSs), or delegate this responsibility in writing to a competent individual.
Who we're looking for
- HNC / HND Civil Engineering
- In-depth understanding of site engineering practices, equipment, and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and oversee operations effectively.
- Focused on controlling processes to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.
- IT proficient
- Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (desirable)
