Job Title: Electromagnetics Team Leader – Future Products

Salary: £54,793 – £60,326 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What You’ll Be Doing
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Defining requirements, generating control plans and providing key guidance into multiple new platform technical forums
- Managing and assessing EMH aircraft level clearance documentation supporting Development and Production programmes
- To manage the aircraft level test activities, ensuring that the test requirements are correctly performed, and suitable evidence gathered to support the clearance
- Representing the EMH Aircraft Design & Certification team in senior programme / technical reviews
- To provide technical advice on behalf of the EMH Aircraft Certification team
- Managing the team, holding PDRs, weekly meetings, identifying training and ensuring engineers are being developed with a multitude of tasks
Essential
Your skills and experiences:
- Electrical / Electronic / Physics Engineering Degree or similar experience / qualification (i.e. HND)
- Excellent working knowledge of engineering principles and the product lifecycle
- Management Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar computer-based applications will be essential
- Ability to develop into the role to create/review test plans, witness/assist testing and analyse/determine the results for acceptability
Desirable
- Knowledge of Electromagnetics
- Knowledge of the Air platforms
- Knowledge of DOORS, PLM

The EMH Design And Certification Team
An exciting and unique opportunity for an Electromagnetics Team Leader has arisen within the EMH Design & Certification Team, which sits within the Advanced Aerostructures Service Delivery Unit at Warton.
The team has responsibility for Hardening Design and Certification of aircraft and components, ensuring that the numerous platforms are designed, built, certified and maintained in accordance with the relevant requirements for EMC (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility), Lightning Strike, NEMP (Nuclear Electro-Magnetic Pulse), NH (Nuclear Hardening) and Tempest (Secure Communications).
The successful candidate will manage the EMH Aircraft Certification Team for Future Platforms, including FCAS, FalconWorks and Electric Products. and will be a confident, forward thinking, proactive self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the business.
The role is based at Warton, but the successful candidate will also be required to travel to locations within the UK, Europe and Globally, 3 to 4 times a year.
