Employee Relations Adviser, Location flexible

The Employee Relations team is dedicated to advising and guiding the business, and Culture & Brand colleagues, on managing complex employment matters such as dispute resolution, as well as organisational change programmes such as business restructures and transfers, national consultation programmes and redundancy.

A look into the role

As an Employee Relations Adviser within our Employee Relations team, you will:


  • Provide dedicated advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters throughout the employment lifecycle to people managers across the firm, signposting to policies and liaising with People Services, Ethics, People Advisory and the wider Culture & Brand teams, in obtaining a resolution
  • Prepare and provide timely management information for the regular Employee Relations reporting cycle; and on an ad-hoc basis, to the wider Culture & Brand teams, with clarity and confidence
  • Champion the correct use of the Case Management system and ensure that the data is accurate and users are effective through regular reporting and upskilling
  • Provide administration support to the team on complex cases such as taking notes and preparing first draft of documents
  • Undertake investigations of internal information systems (IS) such as Teams, Mimecast, internet usage and desktop reviews for complex ER cases.


Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an Employee Relations Adviser, the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience of technical HR skills such as capability, disciplinary, absence, grievance resolution and a working knowledge of employment law and best practice in employee relations matters. You will also need to have good communication skills, strong written communication, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.


  • Experience of working in a professional services environment
  • CIPD level 5 or above.
