The Public Protection Partnership is seeking an enthusiastic Enforcement Officer to join our Trading Standards team, reporting to the Senior
Trading Standards Officer and supported by a wide range of similarly talented officers.
About The Role
As an Enforcement Officer, you will play a vital role in:
&
- Conducting inspections and investigations to enforce trading standards legislation &
- Identifying and addressing non-compliance issues, including the seizure of goods and evidence &
- Providing advice and support to local businesses to promote compliance &
- Gathering and analysing evidence for legal proceedings &
- Collaborating with other enforcement agencies to tackle issues such as fraud and intellectual property crime

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

- A relevant enforcement qualification or equivalent experience &
- Knowledge of trading standards legislation and enforcement practices &
- Strong investigative and analytical skills &
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities &
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise a diverse workload. A driving licence and willingness to travel across the West Berkshire area are essential.
