Job title: Systems Engineer
Location: Portsmouth or Frimley
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the implementation of system design changes
- General systems engineering activities across the engineering lifecycle
- Perform specific systems engineering activities in support of the project phase, predominantly on the right-hand side of the engineering lifecycle V-Model, with a particular focus on testing, integration and commissioning
- Act as a point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives
- Provide input to support the production of progress and quality reporting tools and metrics
- Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority
- Maintaining a level of SQEP for the role through personal and professional development
Essential
Your skills and experiences:
- Knowledge of integrating software and hardware systems
- Can work in stand-alone situations and as part of a team
- Knowledge of system engineering principals and concepts
Desirable
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience
- Experience of integrating systems
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.

The Systems Engineering Team
As a Systems Engineer, you will be required to perform general systems engineering activities, which may include requirements development and management, modelling and simulation, design activities, integration, and verification and validation. You will have the opportunity to work with new weapons and equipment and have the possibility of career progression.
