Engineer with Welding & Fabrication skills (Travel Required)

Job Description:

We are seeking an engineer with welding & Fabrication skills to join our team. In this role, you will:

• Travel to customer sites to perform maintenance and repair work on industrial associated equipment.
• Work closely with other technical team members to ensure repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on industrial equipment using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment as required.
• Produce and create accurate hand drawn sketches so components can be drawn up in CAD later.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement solutions effectively.
• Produce project specific method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all operations.

Required skills and abilities:

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication (certifications preferred).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt to varying work environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Advantageous skills and abilities:

• In addition to English, a fluent French or Spanish speaking candidate would be advantageous, aiding communication in multilingual customer environments.
• Experience working within the food production or industrial refrigeration sectors would be desirable.
