What You’ll Accomplish In This Role

As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading multiple cross-functional project teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, technical leads, and stakeholders to determine appropriate resourcing, timelines, and technical approaches. This role is both highly technical and client-facing, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills.

In this role, you will:


  • Lead High-Impact Projects: Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple software projects, from scoping and planning to execution and delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices.
  • Drive Innovation: Deliver transformative solutions using advanced analytics and AI, leveraging your technical expertise to solve complex, client-specific challenges.
  • Guide and Mentor Teams: Support and develop cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Shape Technical Strategy: Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to define deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and technical approaches.
  • Champion Best Practices: Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes, technical standards, and DevOps practices.
  • Manage Stakeholders: Act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and ensuring successful outcomes that drive lasting impact.

Your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the delivery of multiple software projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to define project deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop software engineers of varying seniority, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, technical standards, and team productivity.
  • Ensure effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.



Your Background & Skills

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in developing web applications.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies, including Python (Flask or Django) for backend and React.js for frontend development.
  • Advanced in data pipelining and schema design, with demonstrable experience designing and implementing robust, performant data pipelines from a variety of sources such as databases, APIs, SFTP, etc.
  • Experience building ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt and Airflow
  • Proven experience managing software engineering teams, including mentoring juniors and seniors, and promoting professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong familiarity with software architecture and design patterns, enabling informed technology decisions.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and knowledge of containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern software development tools and a passion for DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on driving technical innovation and continuous improvement.
