Our Engineering department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Engineering Team Leader to join our brilliant team in Nottingham.
Lead Engineer on shift responsible for managing engineers, ensuring service is maintained to operations department, whilst maintaining site health and safety and food safety standards. Deliver site PPM Strategy.

Working Hours & Salary
The working hours in this role are 4 on 4 off (6pm – 6am – night shift)
Salary: £52,961 per annum
Multiskilled-time served and apprenticeship trained, Elec bias preferred due to current skills on shift of other engineers but not essential and mech bias will be considered.
Having led a small team of engineers previously would be highly advantageous but again will consider less management/supervisory experience for the right candidate.
Pragmatic approach to problem solving, comfortable making decisions, Can do attitude, calm under pressure, front foot forward, hands on, hold themselves and team to high standards and a job done right first time. Committed to ensuring completion of planned preventative maintenance tasks. Expect to be between 70/80% on the tools 20/30% off organising/managing the team.
Key Accountabilities
Health and Safety
- Ensure completion of all Health and Safety Actions raised (Near Misses)
- Responsible for completing Accident Investigations (if occurred within team)
- Responsible for auditing team and ensuring all health and safety standards are being applied
Food Safety / Technical Standards
- Ensure completion of all Technical/ Quality Actions raised (Fabrication/ Hygiene Audit List)
- Ensure compliance and audit team versus site Technical Standards (E43 Engineering Release Form, Toolbox Inventory etc.)
- Ensure Food Safety and Equipment Integrity is tracked in line with PPMs
KPI/ Reporting
- Ensure all team actions captured on CMMS System following “STAR” principal.
- Ensure all downtime agreed with operations so unity between engineering and operations reports
- Ensure all Operational Issues from previous shift (i.e. Nights) captured on Cell Review
- Lead Cell Review meeting each shift
Maintenance
- Ensure High Level of Service to operations
- Manage versus schedule PPM completion of team
- Ensure all actions identified are captured and appropriately resolved
People
- Manage shift absence (Return to Work)
- Manage shift Holidays (Authorize Through Kronos)
GMP / Standards
- Maintain appropriate standards within engineering areas
Qualifications
- Apprentice Trained
- NVQ Level 3
- HNC in relevant Electrical Field
