Environmental Specialist

• 3/4 days site based with 1/2 home working
• Minor travel to satellite client UK sites

Here at ISS, as one of the UK's largest Faculties Management providers, we are looking to support our client's goals around Environmental and Sustainability by recruiting for the first time, a Senior Environmental specialist to advise the client on best Environmental practice across their UK estate

The customer are in corporate banking, and their estate consists of corporate banking facilities, housing large numbers of staff that represents a challenge for good Environmental practice

Here, working with an Environmental Manager, a myriad of client staff and others you will use globally-certified Environmental Management System (EMS) in EMEA that complies with the international standards ISO 14001/50001, helping to reduce our client's environmental impact and footprint in all operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Environmental specialist to develop their career working in seamless integration with a renowned global customer

Actions will include:

• Lead external and internal ISO 14001/50001 surveillance and recertification audits in UK
• Assist in the transformation into a net-zero carbon emissions corporation as well as expanding our renewable energy portfolio in the region
• Partner with UK facilities management teams to ensure environmental legal and regulatory compliance
• Support facilities management teams with core EMS documentation and deliverables, quarterly updating templates, providing guidance, ensuring timely completion
• Collaborate across business functions and build relationships with partners across GCS
• Support project management tasks
• Review, validate and analyse environmental performance data for UK
• Manage stakeholders, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and deliverables
• Communicate team accomplishments internally across a variety of platforms and formats, producing an assortment of reports and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Lead UK awareness, engagement, and communication efforts, bringing our story to end users across the region, and supporting local events

We need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; background in environmental management systems or environmental legal and regulatory compliance preferred, minimum 2 years’ experience;
• Previous experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 audits is a must
• Member of professional body i.e. IEMA is a plus
