Nestled in 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth’s is a specialist charity with over 120 years of experience supporting children, young people and adults with complex neurological conditions, including epilepsy. Our unique setting includes a School, College, residential services, day opportunities, and on-site healthcare and therapy teams.

About the Role

As our new Epilepsy Specialist Nurse, you’ll be a key clinical lead and advocate for the individuals we support — helping to ensure they receive the highest quality epilepsy care, guidance and education throughout their journey at St Elizabeth’s.

You’ll collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, therapists, educators and support staff, using your expertise to develop, implement and evaluate personalised epilepsy care plans. You’ll also provide essential training and advice to colleagues across our care and education services.

We offer a variety of shift patterns to support work-life balance, including:

9:00am – 5:00pm, 7:00am – 2:30pm, and 1:45pm – 9:00pm, with some flexibility based on service needs.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver expert, evidence-based epilepsy care to children and young people with complex needs
• Assess, plan and review individualised care strategies in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Provide clinical guidance, support and training to staff across education and care
• Ensure families are informed, involved, and supported in decisions around epilepsy care
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement in clinical standards

About You

You’re an experienced, NMC-registered nurse with a specialist focus in epilepsy, passionate about improving lives through personalised, compassionate care. You’re a confident communicator, a natural educator, and a strong advocate for holistic, person-centred practice.

• NMC Registered Nurse (Children’s, Adult or Learning Disability)
• Demonstrable experience and professional development in epilepsy care
• Skilled in clinical assessment, care planning, and multi-agency working
• Kind, calm and adaptable, with strong communication and leadership skills
• A collaborative team player who brings a positive, values-led approach to work
