The Role
We’re looking for a relationship-driven Estate Manager with super high standards to make sure our developments run brilliantly for our residents, long after the last contractor leaves site.
We’re expanding our establishing Estate Management team because our business is growing. More projects completing means more places thriving, and you’ll be the key cog in keeping our estate management standards high across the board. You’ll take ownership of new developments (they’re all in London’s zones 1-3) and setting them up with precision to deliver a best-in-class resident experience from day one, working through the Managing Agents that we appoint. You’ll report into the Head of Customer Care & Estate Management and join a close-knit team of two Estate Managers who create a supportive environment.
In this role, you’ll build close relationships with our external Managing Agents to drive top-class performance. We have a great reputation for quality at Mount Anvil, and that doesn’t stop when we hand the keys over – you are part of making sure that day-to-day service is delivered to Mount Anvil standards and everything is kept shipshape once the homes are occupied. You’ll lead weekly meetings with agents, input into plans for upcoming developments, and play a key role in evolving how our estate management function works.
You’ll have a background in property management, and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM systems – it’ll be ideal if you’ve worked with developers like ourselves or with a managing agent so you’re familiar with the type of work and the things that crop up, which you’ll need to proactively and collaboratively handle.
Ours is a high performance culture. High performance in this role means being out and about on the sites that you’re looking after, holding Managing Agents to account through thorough site inspections and quarterly service level reviews, and gathering resident feedback to make sure we’re delivering on our promises. It also means building great relationships with internal teams like Construction and Customer Experience, and with our JV partners– to make sure we’re aligned and we’re setting the place up for long-term success.
We’re here to Pursue Better, Differently. So if you’ve got a sharp eye, a calm head, and a passion for keeping places looking brilliant – we’d love to have you on board.
Mount Anvil
What we do: We’ve worked in partnership for 31 years to create outstanding places in London. We’re growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we’re raring to get started and make a difference.
Why we’re here: We’re here to pursue better, differently.
Better: One of The Sunday Times’ “100 Best Small Companies to Work For” for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nation’s best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s five areas – the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS).
Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. It’s definitely not for everyone. We don’t hire know-it-alls, we hire “learn-it-alls”. As our CEO, Killian, says: “We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers.”
Benefits:
Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more).
Income Protection Insurance to help you cope financially if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, your annual leave & Bank Holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and workplace nursery salary sacrifice, allowing you to save tax and NI on monthly nursery fees.
We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and “not my job” isn’t in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career.
