Job Title: Estimator – Facilities Management

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Estimator to join our Facilities Management team. You will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality tender and estimating opportunities across the FM division, supporting both new business and existing contract expansions. This role plays a key part in ensuring pricing accuracy, profitability, and the commercial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate tenders and budgets for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) assets across existing contracts and new opportunities.
- Ensure all pricing submissions are completed on time and in accordance with business goals and commercial expectations.
- Carry out site surveys and develop pricing solutions based on findings.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships in a professional and timely manner throughout the bidding process.
- Work closely with commercial, operational, and bid teams to develop tender strategies and pricing documents.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to obtain competitive pricing for goods, services, and labour.
- Create and submit commercial bid documentation for Commercial Review Board (CRB) approval.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with different contract forms and project deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, minimum margin requirements, and job costing procedures.
- Support bid and contract renewal activities with robust commercial and technical input.
- Liaise with internal departments including Finance, Design, Procurement, HR, Estimating, and SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental).
- Prepare reports for senior management as required.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Based in or able to work from the Central Belt of Scotland
- Excellent written, verbal, and IT communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness within the M&E or Facilities Management sector
- Proven experience in estimating within construction, maintenance, or facility services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
- Experience completing and submitting BoQs, quotations, and full tender documents
- Knowledge of sustainability and green project pricing
Desirable:
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Construction, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Experience with pricing sustainable/green initiatives
- Familiarity with a range of contract types and commercial terms
