What You'll Do:
- Assume position as key finance contact on the following events: as a Glide Ice Rink, Big Feastival, Taste of London.
- The role will support the Senior Finance Manager:
- Business Partner with the Event Directors and Ops team to support on event finances
- Work with the Senior Finance Manager to support the VP of each of these events to ensure they have clear and concise information for decision making
- Be the onsite representing finance
- Ensure all revenue planning and ops budgets are up to date and reconcilable - working with the business teams to do so, allowing for accurate pre and post-show flashes and timely close out of event finances
- Ensure applicable taxes are accounted for appropriately by checking treatment with internal tax team
- Own the bottom-up detailed business planning and cash flow planning
- Own scenario analysis
- Risks and Opps are flagged as necessary
- Where applicable, insurance claims are calculated, supported, and submitted in a suitable timeframe
- Ensure the Senior Finance Manager is fully informed of all necessary items
- Work with Management Accountant to:
- Ensure the month end P&L and BS reflects the reality of the current view
- Provide commentary to any variance to plan
- Ensure weekly cash flow requests are accurate and complete
- Weekly and ad hoc sales reports are accurate and complete
- Quarterly commission statements issued to the Sales Team are accurate and complete
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc
- Will be required to work occasionally outside of standard working hours or at weekends at events
You Have these:
- Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
- Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Office)
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Process orientated and able to manage and reconcile large data sets
- Flexibility
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong focus on seeking efficiencies with attention to detail
- Ability to work proactively and individually but also as a team player
We'd Also Love If You Have These:
- Event experience
- SAP accounting software
- Excellent planning & organisational skills to achieve multiple & sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Educated to a degree or equivalent level
