Job Title: Events and Marketing Coordinator

Salary: £27,609 - £32,000

Contract Type – Permanent, Full-time

Location: Hybrid, based at the London office

About the role

We require an Events and Marketing Coordinator to join our busy events team. The role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of a diverse range of events for members and key stakeholders. The role provides essential support to the Head of Events and works alongside two Events Assistants.


The team manages a diverse portfolio of events, including:


  • Member Conferences; An exciting programme of events designed for members at all levels covering
  • a variety of topics. These events support the implementation of RCS England Strategy and DEI
  • action plan.
  • Diplomates Days; A core activity for the team is the delivery of our Diplomate ‘Graduation’
  • Ceremonies. A key milestone in the members journey that the whole team work together to
  • facilitate.
  • Lectures, Dinners and Receptions; alongside our main conference and ceremony programme we
  • produce a range of networking and ceremonial events for key stakeholders and members, including
  • historic lectures, strategy launches and banquets.
  • Webinars; A key member benefit is our extensive webinar programme which is led my the
  • coordinators.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Events Programme: Work with the Head of Events to develop and deliver a planned, coordinated and appropriate regional and national events programme. Ensure that programmes for events reflect the diverse community of members. Undertake events evaluation and support the reporting of feedback and attendance at events. Delegate appropriate administrative tasks to Events Assistants while ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Digital Events: Contribute to and facilitate webinars and digital and hybrid events delivery.
  • Events Marketing: Work with the marketing team to deliver coordinated marketing communications to ensure the events are well-publicised, in a timely fashion and RCS England activities are showcased at events.
  • Central College activities: Support and lead the delivery of central college events, including the Diplomates Day, Presidential Dinners and Networking receptions.


About you


Qualifications

  • A-level or equivalent experience


Skills/Experience

  • Experience of events delivery and programme design including digital events delivery
  • Experience of events marketing and communications
  • Excellent organisational skills, methodical approach to planning and attention to detail
  • Experience of working with people at all levels of an organisation including senior staff and
  • board members/ trustees
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent team player, with the confidence to contribute to projects and share experiences and
  • expertise with colleagues
  • IT Literate: Intermediate Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook skills,
