Job Description:
As the Deals Advisory & Consulting Events Assistant Manager at Grant Thornton, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a range of events to support the firm's business objectives. You will work closely with the marketing team, partners and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality events that engage, inform, and inspire our clients and prospects.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
A look into the role
As an Events Manager within the Deals Advisory & Consulting team, you will:
- Plan and execute events that align with the firm's business objectives, including seminars, conferences, webinars, and other client-facing events.
- Work with partners and other stakeholders to identify key themes and topics for events, and develop content and agendas that are relevant and engaging.
- Manage logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and event collateral.
- Work with the marketing team to develop event marketing plans and materials, including invitations, registration pages, email campaigns, and social media promotion.
- Manage event budgets and ensure events are delivered within budget.
- Measure and report on the success of events, using data and analytics to improve future events.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and other event partners.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event management, and apply them to improve the firm's events.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as an Events Assistant Manager, the
minimum criteria you’ll need is previous event experience (ideally in a professional services role), meticulous attention to detail, and be confident communicating with a broad array of stakeholders.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Proven experience in event management, with a track record of successfully planning and executing events that meet business objectives.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Experience in measuring and reporting on event success.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional standard of delivery and service
- Able to work under pressure and to meet tight time frames
- Be an excellent problem solver with the ability to navigate and guide those in your team
- Strong commerciality and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the professional services industry and B2B marketing.
