Grade C – Permanent – 37 hours per week
Legal Services is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual as a Legal Support Assistant. We currently have a post available to work in the Council’s Legal Department providing vital and wide-ranging support services to the legal professionals in a team where quality, accuracy and effectiveness is at its core.
The role requires you to undertake legal casework as directed by senior colleagues, in accordance with professional practice standards and procedures and Legal Services Quality Service Plans.
The post will be working within one of the Regulatory, Litigation and Adult Social Care and Commercial and Corporate teams and is predominantly concerned with the process of drafting standard documents and notices, composing simple letters, the completion of various Court documents, communicating effectively with outside solicitors, internal client departments and the use of a case management system. There may be some requirement to assist team members with other Court processes.
Excellent communication skills are required together with the ability to work as part of a team. A high level of accuracy is essential, the ability to work within strict deadlines and to be able to work effectively under pressure.
