We are thrilled to be looking for our next Executive External Business Development Manager to join our successful distribution team.
Role Profile
As an Executive EBDM, you will represent Blackfinch across all product and services within the Tax planning and Asset management areas. You will maintain consistent contact with existing advisers whilst always procuring new accounts to Blackfinch and penetrate the larger firms and build deep long-lasting relations.
Key Accountabilities
• Minimum tax inflows to achieve level of £20m on an annual basis.
• Face to face meetings to be at a minimum of 10 per week.
• Provide a minimum of 10 MPS leads per annum to Blackfinch AM.
• To develop key relationships with Business Owners and develop a collegiate approach through a partnership programme for both tax and asset management.
• To develop the knowledge of advisers dealt with through education and support.
• To increase number of advisers using Blackfinch products in a given territory.
• To mentor and develop an Associate BDM to work alongside and develop territory further.
• To develop potential Blackfinch MPS leads for the asset management team.
• Ensure that all meetings have complete fact find reports that are included into the Blackfinch CRM system.
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with this level of position as requested by either the CEO, CIO or directors.
Essential Experience
• At least 5 years experience of success in the tax planning arena with Blackfinch or peer group company.
• Known and evidenced performance of at least £1m per month new business inflows.
• Proven experience in developing a territory and proven increases in business raised.

• The ability and skill to interpret KPIs and MI will be core to success.
• Self-starter.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
• Strong networking ability.
• Able to effectively work to a plan.
• Can drive activity with an IBDM.
Essential Qualifications
• A qualification level knowledge of IHT, EIS, VCT and CMS and the tax impacts of each.
• Either holds or is currently working towards or willing to work towards Chartered status in Financial Services or equivalent.
