We are currently looking for an
experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join the Catastrophic Loss team in Liverpool.
The Catastrophic Injury Team is nationally recognised and one of the largest in the UK.
We act for a number of well-known insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of matters that are of significant value, resulting in an interesting and rewarding set of cases for you to work on.
The role is hybrid and we would expect office attendance in Liverpool 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
As Paralegal your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to senior team members managing a complex, multi-track catastrophic injury caseload.
- Draft court documents, attend hearings, and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
- Conduct liability investigations, gather and assess evidence, and prepare client advice.
- Identify appropriate medical experts and draft detailed instructions for expert reports.
- Review and analyse medical records and other case-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system in line with client service level agreements.
- Perform general administrative duties to support case progression.
- Deliver exceptional client care and maintain professional communication at all times.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Previous experience in a Paralegal (or similar) role, managing a claimant or defendant personal injury caseload independently or under supervision.
- Exposure to Fast Track and/or Multi Track personal injury claims.
- Possess relevant legal qualifications such as LLB, LLM, and potentially LPC (not essential).
- Strong ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively while meeting strict deadlines.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
