About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of the role is – CWA Facilities Logistics Manager
The role will manage and coordinate the Welfare and Office needs for the CWA and act as a point of contact for the Client on all matters relating to the provision of Client facilities for use by the CWA
The ability to demonstrate “thought leadership,” developing capability across teams thereby aligning work
with SZC’s strategic objectives.
The logistics manager will be based on site in Sizewell CWA Office (Ipswich) and will regularly visit the
Construction site in Leiston, and will include on site management , coordination and delivery activities.
Will need to have a good grasp of the schedule, milestones, DCO and permit commitments, local supply
chain rational and interfaces with SZB and SZA.
The scope will manage and coordinate the Welfare and Office related needs for the CWA and act as a point
of contact for the Client on all matters relating to the provision of Client facilities for use by the CWA.
- Act as point of contact for CWA’s on-site coordination, forecasting, planning and operational
activities relating to facilities required for the workforce and staff.
- Take ownership and act as point of contract for the CWA’s activities. Own the Management and
control of operations and activities of materials and labour coming onto site.
- Develop and expand the projects logistics strategy documents specific to on site the management.
Maintenance and provision of welfare and office facilities.
- People forecasting, monitoring and reporting of the data
- Demand profiling for site facilities including;
- Busing and parking requirements
- Office space requirements (Desks, Lockers, IT...)
- Welfare requirements (Toilets, Drying rooms, Canteen areas, Lockers etc..)
Who we're looking for
Essential
- Experience of managing facilities within civil engineering major projects environment or similar environments.
Desirable
- Nuclear/license condition experience and/or leading construction delivery sites
- Have good knowledge and experience in Construction facilities management
- Knowledge of legislative welfare requirements within the construction industry
- Understanding of workforce movements managements and challenges
Essential
Qualifications & Experience
- CSCS Supervisors
- IOSH Managing safety or SSSTS.
Desirable or equivalent
- SMSTS Training
- CSCS Manager
