Description
We're seeking a proactive and driven leader to coach and develop our maintenance and facilities team . This is an opportunity to take real ownership and accountability while developing both individually and as part of a highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align engineering resources with factory strategy
  • Ensure planned maintenance is carried out
  • Oversee a team of around 24 engineers (+ apprentices) ; formalise long-term development and succession plans
  • Create a structured, accountable environment for maintenance activities
  • Manage and track the annual maintenance budget
  • Implement Asset Maintenance and TPM meldology to boost OEE and overall performance
  • Analy s e breakdowns and take proactive steps to prevent them from recurring
  • Promote a safety-conscious environment and lead the site's carbon footprint reduction program
  • Carry out Opportunity Maintenance on idle equipment
  • (Future responsibility) Full Capital Investments and Project Team

Qualifications/skills Required

  • Experience in a people management role within a food manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience in Chocolate an advantage
  • Experience working in a unionised environment
  • Ideally a Degree/Diploma/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering or similar)
  • Proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements, and manage budgets
  • Understanding of factory operations: TPM/Lean, health & safety, employment, quality, and hygiene legislation

Please note, internally this role will have the title of Technical Manager.
