Job Title: Fellow, Emerging Technology Incubation

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fellow of Emerging Technology Incubation to lead the development and validation of transformative technologies that shape the long-term direction of our portfolio. This is a key leadership role within the Chief Technologist (CT) Organization, critical to realizing its mission: to drive AVEVA’s future-facing technology strategy in support of the industrial markets we serve. This role leads a portfolio of incubation initiatives related to advanced technologies with the potential to drive customer value and strategic growth. Success in this role will depend on your ability to work collaboratively across the CT Organization and the broader company, co-innovate with customers and partners, and build momentum around promising but novel ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the Emerging Tech Incubation Portfolio: Shape and manage a pipeline of exploratory initiatives, from early-stage ideation through technical feasibility verification, prototype development, and validation. Iteratively update and reprioritize this portfolio based on results and feedback.
- Accelerate Business-Relevant Innovation: Evaluate and test emerging technologies and architectural patterns that can drive differentiated customer value and strategic advantage.
- Provide Technical Leadership and Oversight: Ensure that incubation programs are executed efficiently and effectively. Provide technical guidance and support as needed across a wide variety of technology and business domains relevant to AVEVA.
- Foster Collaboration and Co-Innovation: Work closely with peers across the CT organization and throughout AVEVA to ensure incubation efforts are grounded in real-world needs and aligned to overall business strategy. Collaborate with customers and partners to co-create and validate innovative solutions.
- Bridge Strategy and Execution: Translate strategic intent into concrete technical initiatives, guiding incubation efforts toward clear business outcomes and decisions.
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of technologists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record in leading innovation or incubation initiatives within complex, technology-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate emerging technologies into actionable opportunities that align with strategic business goals.
- Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing innovation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in several of the following technology areas:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- 3D Visualization and Digital Twin Technologies
- Cloud Architecture and Computing
- Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
- Edge Computing and IoT Ecosystems
- Experience with one or more vertical domains relevant to AVEVA's strategic growth markets:
- Data Center Operations and Optimization
- Renewable Energy Systems
- Manufacturing
- Electric Grid Operations and Infrastructure
- Strong strategic thinking, collaboration, and organizational influence skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a disciplined, outcome-oriented approach to experimentation and delivery.
