At The Edmund Trust we are a charity that supports people with learning disabilities across Cambridgeshire.
We are looking for female support workers to assist a woman with learning disabilities who loves walking, trampolines, the swings and swimming.
The main responsibilities in this role will be to assist with household chores and personal care. Supporting mobility and physical needs including hoisting. Encouraging her independence and helping her engage in fun, fulfilling activities.
No previous experience is required as full training will be given
Requirements
A full UK drivers license is essential for this role
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including day, evenings and weekends. Waking night shifts are available too
A caring, passionate and patient approach
Strong communication skills
Due to the support required, this position is open to female applicants only, as the role is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010
Salary- £25,028.57 per annum (FTE 40 hours per week, pro rata for part time)
