Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, resourceful, hardworking Field Visual Merchandising Coach to join us on our exciting journey to improve our instore retail experience. Mountain Warehouse has been growing consistently over the years with 400 stores globally. This is an exciting time to join our business during its growth period. We are looking for an experienced Visual Merchandiser who is commercially minded with the ability to coach, train, inspire and deliver the new Mountain Warehouse Visual Merchandising vision across all of our retail stores. (900-16,000 square feet)
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the successful delivery of visual merchandising excellence and consistency across the UK/ROI region through both field based and strategic contributions.
- Lead the visual merchandising element on selected Visual Merchandising projects such New Store Openings and “5k” refits – ensuring all visual merchandising elements are implemented to a high standard within the available time frame. With walk-rounds, photo packs and feedback communicated back to the business.
- Attend and support the roll out of Seasonal moves – feeding into the seasonal move guidelines (both commercially and operationally) and ensuring a smooth roll out through local coaching and training.
- Build strong working partnerships with store teams to ensure all visual instructions are adhered to with consistency across the business – working with the teams to train them in best practise.
- Identify and coach strong local VM talent to support with local visual merchandising implementation
- Creating training tools and sessions that can be shared and rolled out to improve retail visual merchandising knowledge and awareness
- Working closely with the HO VM Coordination team to support with field-based feedback on store communications, visual guidelines and new initiative roll outs.
- Sharing knowledge and best practise within the UK team and with international counter parts to support building brand consistency globally
- Working cross functionally with Commercial, Retail, Trading, Operations and Store Design

- Is a strong stylist, with an understanding of working with volume of stock and store space.
- Has strong ability to see outside the boundaries and confident to reset floors when needed.
- Has the ability to co -ordinate and build stories through outfit build and category visual merchandising.
- Is a strong commercial understanding of driving Sales in all product areas by driving sales in our Clothing, Hard Goods and Equipment ranges.
- Has the ability to interpret a brand and understand it’s message, reflecting it in the store presentation.
- Has High standards with an eye for detail and a determination to get the job done and done well
- Impeccable Organisational skills / time management
- Self-starter / work independently/ hands on/ lead by example / ability to influence.
- Microsoft office. Photoshop.
- Full clean driving license.
- Extensive travel within your area.
- Travel away up to 3/4 nights a week.
