The Function

The Group Finance team comprises of 3 sub-teams; Financial Reporting and Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Finance Systems. Together they provide best in class risk & control management and operational and strategic decision support, adding measurable contribution to Triple Point and its stakeholders.


Role Summary

This role is a maternity cover (12months) reporting directly into the Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager in delivering month-end and year-end statutory and regulatory reporting, as well as tax and other ad hoc responsibilities within Group Finance.


We are looking for a candidate who can support the Finance Manager and deal with day-to-day accounting tasks and workflows. The successful person must enjoy working in a fast paced, iterative environment, generating practical solutions in areas where change will require processes to be adapted and understood quickly. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong analytical mind set and the desire to drive efficiency, automation and simplification, adding value from day one.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the team, and lead in some areas, in the delivery of:

  • The month end close – focusing on revenue/costs and taking ownership of specific areas to ensure robust accounting control
  • Reporting the month end P&L on day 5 and day 10 to the wider team
  • Monthly balance sheet substantiation
  • Ownership of legal entities including preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
  • Proficient technical accounting skills to ensure compliance with FRS102 standards
  • Review tax returns as required
  • FCA reporting for regulated entities
  • Continued contribution to the design, development and enhancement of existing systems & processes to deliver efficiency and improved control
  • Undertaking ad-hoc tasks to provide analysis and reports for decision making
  • Manipulation and validation of large data sets


Knowledge and Experience Required

  • All round finance professional who has a breadth of experience covering month end, financial reporting, control and tax
  • Knowledge of operating models with multiple legal entity structures
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK reporting standards, predominantly FRS102
  • Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with more than 2 years PQE
