Bolton Hospice is an independent charity providing free care services to people in Bolton with life-limiting illnesses. Our expert palliative care aims to enhance the quality of life and positively influence the course of illness. We have a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals delivering support to patients, families, and carers at the hospice and in patients' homes.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance and Corporate Services Director at Bolton Hospice located in Bolton. The Director will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, risk management, estates and facilities, IT, and health and safety. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the Hospice’s strategic direction and upholding our values of compassion, respect, professionalism and dignity.


Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and accountable to the Board of Trustees, you will lead the finance and corporate services functions, ensuring financial sustainability, excellent governance, and the efficient delivery of non-clinical services across the organisation.


 What We’re Looking For:


  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant senior-level financial management experience
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong understanding of charity finance, governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing estates, IT, and/or health and safety in a leadership capacity is desirable.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leader with a values-driven approach and a passion for making a difference in your community.

Salary: £62,215 to £72,293 per year
