About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Part-Time 22.5 hours per week.
Job Opportunity
- Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, card payments, expense claims, and payment requests.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send out invoices.
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Payroll:
- Collection of data to produce monthly payroll as required by the Assistant Accountant.
- Analysis of absence returns and updating of individual absence records
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Support the Finance Manager in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the finance department.
- Maintain filing systems for financial documents.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required due to the demands of the business
Essential Skills
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other Requirements:
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
