Here at Cambridge City Council the Finance Team has recently been restructured. We want to ensure that we have the capacity, flexibility and resilience when providing financial support and advice to our Council Services.
In this role you will be part of an efficient, effective and client-orientated Finance Business Partnering team offering to a range of Council services, supporting Resource Managers to achieve their goals in an ever-changing and challenging environment. This will include ensuring that officers and elected members are provided with high quality strategic advice and direction on financial strategies, policies, standards and practices as well as promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money.
About You:
You will be CCAB part-qualified/qualified and ensure that proper procedure and best practice are followed. We will look to you to build strong relationships with the services in your portfolio and empower budget holders. Acting as an integral member of the Finance Management Team you will be able to put to practice your extensive experience and will contribute to the delivery of service and overall success of Cambridge City Council.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £45,718 - £50,788 per annum (City Pay Band 7), pro rata for part time.
Location: This can be flexible - working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly depending on the priorities of your role and team.
