Financial Accountant

The Financial Control Team ensures the integrity of the Bank’s financial records forming a robust platform for all internal and external financial reporting across the organisation. This role sits at the heart of the function ensuring day to day robust controls and management of general ledger are maintained.

This is a fixed term contract role to support to the finance process for the Bank and the parent company to 31st December 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Support for preparation of TB and monthly management accounts
• Prepare and process month-end and year-end journal entries
• Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support for preparation of internal MI and board reporting
• Support for preparation of Statutory accounts including notes, supporting schedules and analysis for review
• Support for preparation of regulatory reports
• Support for preparation of tax returns and VAT returns
• Provide support in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required by senior management
• Liaise with various stakeholders across different departments

Person Specification

Knowledge / Experience

• Technical IFRS accounting knowledge
• Expert knowledge of IFRS 9 and FX accounting would be a distinct advantage
• Preparation of group accounts
• Financial services background
• Strong IT skills (Excel)
