Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Financial and Vendor Management Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Belfast.


Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial and Vendor Management Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial performance, optimising vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-efficiency across the organisation. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving financial success through effective vendor management


Responsibilities

  • Support the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting, ensuring accurate and up-to-date projections in financial systems
  • Assist in prioritising technology investment initiatives, collaborating with technology and the businesses the client supports to quantify estimated spending and track project outcomes
  • Provide monthly financial reporting, analysing actual spend versus forecast to identify key drivers of variance and potential risks/opportunities
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of headcount and expense forecasts across multiple financial systems
  • Deliver data-driven reporting to senior Technology Management, providing insights into the financial health of the organisation
  • Support the contract execution and renewal process for technology fixed-price agreements and software license maintenance
  • Work closely with internal technology teams to ensure vendor contracts are renewed on time, invoices are accurate, and engagements comply with policies


Requirements

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF Statements, Conditional Formatting)
  • Experience with PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
  • Prior experience in financial management, budgeting, or vendor oversight within a large organization is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment
