Description

About us:

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. As we continue to grow, we are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team

Role Location:

You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require regular meeting with key stakeholders in Bristol on a regular basis.

About the Role:

Working as part of CACI Information Intelligence Groups (IIG) Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting a rapidly growing multi-million pound business. As the Finance Assistant, you will ensure both the day-to-day finance and some operational tasks for the business are completed in an efficient and timely manner, operating as part of a small team.

The Finance Assistant reports to the Senior Management Accountant and will also work closely with the Financial Operations Manager and the Financial Controller. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Accounts Payable – processing supplier invoices on our Stampli software, requesting new supplier set ups, querying incorrectly invoiced amounts, responding to supplier queries, managing payment expectations and acting as a liaison for the central AP team in London.
  • Timesheets – Weekly timesheet chasing of all IIG staff, production of weekly and monthly timesheet summaries for various clients.
  • Company credit card – producing the monthly summary of spend, collating all receipts/support, and obtaining senior management approval.
  • New starters – Setting up all new starters on Netsuite (General Ledger) – providing training on using the system
  • Leavers – Processing all leavers on Netsuite.
  • Project maintenance – some basic tasks such as adding and removing staff from projects in Netsuite, ensuring correct rates and start and end dates are in place.
  • Accounts Receivable – assisting the team with debt collection. Billing – occasional support at month end with billing requirements.
  • Ad hoc work for the Operations team.

The Fit:

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of general accounting principles, either as a recent graduate looking for their first role within a finance team or someone with previous finance experience looking for a broad and varied role with opportunities for development.

You will have excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines. Interacting widely with teams across our business, you will have good people skills, able to support our staff with general questions and queries.

Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
