Financial Controller

Henderson Scott Finance and Accounting have partnered with a with a fast-growing business who are hiring a high calibre and technically astute Financial Controller to join their client in Birmingham. This company is part of a large global brand based internationally.

This opportunity will open doors for an ambitious professional who is looking for progressive growth and drive change whilst being a strong number 2 to the Finance Director.

Preferably be practice trained with 2+ year's experience within industry. You'll manage a small team providing support on month end duties, whilst also implementing key commercial processes in parallel with the FD.

You'll have ample opportunity to grow alongside the business and take on more responsibility as you progress with the role. Supported by an exceptional manager who will be your mentor through out.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present statutory accounts
• Manage a small finance function operationally
• Implement key process improvements
• Transform the finance function through novel ideas
• Provide sound commercial input to drive growth within the business
• Partner with key (non)-finance stakeholders within the business
• Provide BAU for day-to-day finance function
• Business partnering

Person:

• Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA (PQE within industry too)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Commercially minded and ideas for business growth
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Keen to progress
