Description

Interim FP&A Consultant

Location: Hybrid (Yorkshire-based office, with flexibility)

Contract Type: Interim – 6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: Competitive (outside IR35)

A well-established PE-backed telecommunications business (£90m T/O) is seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Consultant to partner closely with the CFO on a critical project focused on ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) analysis and improvement.

This role is pivotal in helping the leadership team drive more granular insight into customer revenue performance and support strategic planning around revenue optimisation and pricing models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the CFO to lead ARPU-focused financial modelling and analysis.
  • Provide deep commercial insight into user behaviour, pricing dynamics, and product profitability.
  • Support the development of reporting frameworks to track ARPU trends across different customer segments.
  • Evaluate current revenue streams and recommend strategies to optimise user-level profitability.
  • Collaborate with finance, data, and commercial teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning linked to revenue and margin improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in FP&A roles, ideally within telecoms, utilities, or other subscription-based industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of ARPU and revenue analytics.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools a plus.
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, particularly CFOs, in fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and distilling complex data into clear, actionable insight.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned interim consultant who thrives in a hands-on, data-led environment and is looking to make a tangible impact in a short space of time.

If you feel your experience aligns with the above criteria, we’d love to hear from you. The role is based in Yorkshire and requires on-site presence 2–3 days per week, so candidates must be locally based and able to commit to a hybrid working arrangement.
