A well-established and growing specialist lender is seeking a qualified accountant to play a pivotal role as Finance Reporting Accountant to join its expanding Finance team. This is a growth hire, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute within a fast-paced and structured finance environment.
Experience with SPVs and securitisation is highly desirable, making this a particularly attractive opportunity for professionals with a background in structured finance, mortgage lending, or financial services reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts for SPVs/warehouse entities and consolidated group accounts
- Submit monthly and quarterly regulatory returns
- Write accounting memos for newly incorporated SPVs and warehouse vehicles
- Deliver accurate and timely information to auditors and support audit processes
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure correct handling of purchase orders
- Analyse corporation tax accruals, including actuals vs. prior year and budget
- Partner with external tax advisors
- Support the Finance team in daily operations and provide cover during absences
Skills & Experience Required:
- Recently qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Background in financial services essential; mortgage lending or securitisation experience is highly advantageous
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
