Start Date: 1 st September 2025
Salary Range: Scale 4 (SP 8-10) £31,434 to £32,346
Actual salary approximately £27,155 to £27,943
Term Time only (39 weeks), 35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 4.00pm (30 mins unpaid lunch break)

Forest Hill School is a thriving and aspirational comprehensive school in south-east London, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2024. We are seeking to appoint a pro-active, reflective and kind Library Assistant to work in our Library. You will join a successful department whose aim is to maintain a safe, welcoming space for all, that nourishes the information and imagination needs of our students and supports them to progress with their reading and thinking skills, for education and for life. You will possess excellent people skills and an efficient, organised approach to all tasks.
The successful candidate will have:
- A ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to relate well to both children and adults- including parents and other agencies
- Calm under pressure
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Good Microsoft word and Library Management System skills
- The ability to work independently using own initiative
