Job Title: FP&A Analyst
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00, 36.25 hours per week
Salary: up to £30,0000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits including professional qualification study support
Location: Based in Blackpool (FY4 2FB, free parking), with hybrid working available

The main purpose of the role is to bring financial data to life, producing accurate reports & modelling and helping the business to understand the results – and ultimately to keep improving.

Being in the Finance team of a growing bank is not for the feint hearted, if there isn’t a new purchase, acquisition, revenue stream or partner there’s a budget, reforecast, audit or reporting challenge to manage. Sufficed to say we are never bored.
Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow
The FP&A team has a broad remit including:
- Ongoing development and maintenance of the management reporting suite, ensuring visibility of P&L and Balance Sheet trends, enabling managers to drill to the detail of those trends, and highlighting key items/risk factors.
- Business partnering with the leadership team to bring that reporting to life, and to stay in the loop with upcoming changes.
- Creation of the annual budget and regular reforecasts, taking and challenging inputs from the senior leadership team.
- Ownership of reporting data and hierarchies.
- Partnering with procurement to highlight and avoid upcoming budget overruns.
- Working with the Financial Reporting & Control team to ensure a joined up approach to GL postings, structure and data – making sure that the inputs enable robust outputs.
You will get involved in all of these things, either by supporting other team members or by taking ownership of items yourself.

What else?
- You’ll be great at structuring data, making sure that we capture and can report across the detail to the broad trends, across the business units and at various levels of consolidation.
- You’ll be able to turn that data into a consumable story, both through presentation in digestible and visually appealing reports and also verbally in meetings at various levels.
- You’ll be comfortable working with and building complex models, the bank relies on FP&As models to manage funds, capital and profitability so we need to ensure that those models are as accurate as they can be.
- You’ll have good commercial acumen, considering and calling out inconsistencies in forecasts, areas to focus on or opportunities to better use resources.

It would be great, but not essential if you have:
- SQL knowledge would be helpful.
- Experience within a financial services or banking environment would be great.
