The role will have responsibility for recruitment of Academy players within the age range listed above in conjunction with the U7-U16 Academy Recruitment Team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Attend/watch games and report in line with the NFFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
- Provide recommendations for your area in line with the NFFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
- Scout across other areas as directed by the Academy Recruitment Team.
- Coordinate and submit the scout schedule for your area in line with the NFFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
- Organise and chair regular area meetings and attend all other scout meetings and CPD events.
- Coordinate regular communications with scouts and Academy Recruitment Team.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the football culture and infrastructure within your area.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within clubs in your designated area.
- To have a good understanding of and liaise as appropriate with NFFC Community Trust staff to assist in identifying talented young players in your area.
- Coordinate tournament coverage across the area and maintain a calendar of upcoming events.
- Liaise with other scouts and line manager.
- Scout tournaments as directed by the Academy Recruitment Team.
- Record details of the work undertaken in region in line with NFFC Scout Management procedures.
- Assist in the collection of background information on potential players from your area.
- Maintain up to date, in depth knowledge on the registered players at NFFC across your age groups.
- Present updates from the area to the Academy Recruitment Team regularly.
- Work on any other scouting projects as required by NFFC.
- To abide by Local league, schools, local FA, Premier League and FA rules and regulations and rules and ensure NFFC and Academy policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Identify, report, recommend and recruit players in your area.
- Supporting the Education and Welfare Officer with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- To maintain player information confidentiality and professional distance from all playing staff acting within professional codes of conduct and scope of practice at all times.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Valid Driving Licence
- FA Talent ID Qualification Level 2
- FA CRB Enhanced Disclosure
- Knowledge of the geographical area
- Previous experience in a scouting role
- Knowledge of the local leagues and managers
